In the afternoon, we would like to exchange and go deeper on the topics listed below.
Target Group
- General Assembly: AEM collective members, individual members, guests
- Networking Meeting: AEM friends and interested parties, staff and board members of AEM organisations
Programme
We share what has developed in the AEM network, what we are currently working on and where new opportunities for mission, collaboration and impact are opening up.
In both sessions (1 & 2), one topic can be attended each. The options are:
13:00 – 14:30 (Session 1):
- DMM / Disciple-Making Movements – Discipleship & Multiplication
DMM touches on the core mandate of AEM organisations (mission mandate, discipleship, multiplication, cultural transfer) and has a great leverage effect for organisations, churches and training. Handling, measuring “fruit” and role understanding are addressed in depth.
- Polycentric & Reverse Mission – from everywhere to everywhere
An in-depth look at the current structural shift in world mission on topics such as partnerships, questions of power, role understanding, training and governance. Dealing with areas of tension (theology, culture, leadership, finances), reverse mission and partnership models are at the forefront.
15:00 – 16:30 (Session 2):
- Member Care – Resilience, Burnout, Crises, Return
Member Care is a working group of AEM and is networked at European level through the MCN. Current developments, upcoming generational transitions, training, minimum standards for AEM organisations, etc. will be discussed.
- Church for Others & Five Marks of Mission
A unified frame of reference creates connectivity across organisations, churches and alliances. How can the new understanding of mission be communicated and effectively integrated? Topics such as wholeness, polarisation and next steps will be discussed.
